Kelly Peckholdt, the owner and founder of Babylon Barre, also owns Positions Dance Studio, which has been located in Babylon Village for over 50 years. Kelly is a lifelong fitness enthusiast – in addition to being a dancer, she is a certified group fitness instructor and has taught fitness classes (especially Barre, Pilates, and other mindful movement-based classes) for nearly two decades. She has also worked as a personal trainer and health coach in a variety of fitness settings. She is excited to expand into a wonderful new community and motivate more people to improve their health and well-being.
Kelly is also a former public school teacher with a Master’s degree in Education, and she is committed to always find a way to make her fitness classes interesting, accessible, and fun. When Kelly took over ownership of Positions over a decade ago, she built an adult dance and fitness program from the ground up. The program grew so much that it was time for it to become its own thing.
Enter Babylon Barre. Kelly is an AFAA/NASM certified Group Fitness Instructor, a certified Pilates Mat and Pilates Reformer Instructor through Balanced by Dina, a certified bodyART Instructor through bodyART NYC, and a certified mUv Method Instructor. Danielle Alveari’s love for all things related to dance and movement started at the age of two. Throughout her life, she has loved trying new things, especially keeping a variety of exercises in her routine to stay active and fit.
She began teaching yoga a few years back to help people connect their breath with their minds and bodies and is a RYT 200 through the Yoga Alliance. When the summer of Covid hit, she added beach barre into her workout schedule. The gym was closed, and what better way to start the morning than a workout while watching the sunrise and listening to the waves? After that she was hooked on barre, too.
Her favorite thing about teaching and taking barre is the community of people that come together for classes. It is always encouraging to work out with like-minded people who lift you up. Danielle is now an AFAA/NASM Certified Group Fitness Instructor and has trained with Kelly extensively on the Babylon Barre method of teaching barre! When Danielle is not teaching yoga or barre, she is an elementary teacher, mother of two beautiful children, and enjoys living life in the moment.

Sabrina Morici became a personal trainer in Yoga and Pilates to spread ease and self-love through health and wellness. Sabrina has been practicing Yoga since 2019 and received a Yoga Alliance Certified training in 2021. She has been teaching a variety of Yoga ever since, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Hot Yoga. Before practicing Yoga, Sabrina struggled heavily with anxiety. Meditation and Asana practices helped her to find an understanding of how she works. That bit of understanding has grown into a shift of mind toward joy. This is what Sabrina loves to share.
She began practicing Pilates a few years and realized how similar the practice brought in a state of mindfulness. Sabrina has been practicing Pilates on the Mat and Reformer since 2021 and received her certification with Power Pilates a year later. Her training has given Sabrina a great understanding of the body, and her years of teaching brought insight on how to customize any exercise or Asana for your body. She continues to enroll in certifications to further her knowledge in both Yoga and Pilates.
Sabrina is passionate about both practices with a focus on Mindfulness. Mindfulness means being present with your body, mind, and soul at that very moment. A mindful attitude motivates with excitement, joy, and care rather than bullying yourself to "just get there already." With Mindfulness, getting to class is an act of self-love rather than an act of losing weight. When you join a class with Sabrina prepare to leave feeling stronger, taller, and more peaceful.

Meghan Haggerty is a certified Yoga and Pilates Reformer instructor driven to provide a safe space where all students feel accepted, comfortable, and seen.
Meghan’s journey into yoga and wellness began with a yoga philosophy course as her college gym credit in 2015. Thinking it was an “easy A,” Meg was surprised to learn that it quickly became her favorite class and she looked forward to waking up at 8am every Friday. Her instructor was her inspiration for her outlook on life; to live authentically, laugh often and freely, create boundaries and find gratitude in every day. Meghan hopes to bring the same inspiration and attitude into her classes for the students she meets along the way.
Meghan was inspired to take her yoga teacher training in 2020 and, a few years later, received her Pilates Reformer certification. Discovering the parallels between yoga and Pilates, it is Meghan’s goal to combine mind-body connection, breathwork, and control in all her classes. She places emphasis on proper alignment and principles of each practice.
In her classes, expect to challenge yourself without sending past your boundaries or limitations. Meghan carefully crafts each class to offer variations and modifications for every body. She encourages students to recognize their own inner beauty, spark their curiosity and confidence, and to look within to see all they are capable of. And it is her hope that her students leave class feeling a sense of calm and ease, clear-minded and proud in their own skin.
